I was very excited to receive a great sampler pack of Shiner beers from my friend Jimmy Mauric, Master Brewer at the Spoetzl Brewery. Not only was Jimmy nice enough to send along a great collection of Shiner swag and materials, but also a great collection of Shiner brews. Along with Shiner Light and my favorite Shiner Bock cans, I’m also VERY excited to get the opportunity to try out Shiner’s NEW Ruby Redbird. I announced the release just a few weeks ago….Ruby is Shiner’s new summer seasonal and it is brewed with Ruby Red Grapefruit and ginger, so I can’t wait to try it. Ruby also uses Mt Hood, Citra, and Cascade hops so it sounds like it’s right up my alley. Stay tuned for the update later this week. Thanks again to Jimmy and everyone at Spoetzl….Can’t wait to try them all.
