This morning I have what I suspect will be the first of many specialty beers coming to celebrate a milestone at Bell’s Brewery in Comstock, MI.

This is 40th Anniversary Expedition Stout and it will be a Russian imperial stout that will be aged in Bourbon barrels. The beer will clock in at 13.9%-AbV and it will be packaged in these 12oz bottles. Stay tuned for 2025 release details.  zzubreebym

Label Text:

“Expedition Stout is the longest brewed Imperial Stout in the U.S. First brewed in 1989 to be robust enough to hold up to time and travel, we couldn’t think of a better beer to honor our 40th Anniversary. This Bourbon barrel-aged version is rich, warm, and complex with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Perfect for your cellar, your travels and any special occasions.”
