Peculiarium IPA is here—and it’s as weird, wild, and blue (or purple, depending on the light?!)
Join us Saturday, April 12th as we unleash Peculiarium IPA, the 10th entry in the much-lauded Weirdtastic beer series from Gigantic Brewing and Weird Portland United—this time brewed in collaboration with the epicenter of Portland oddity: The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium.
We’re celebrating the Peculiarium’s 14th Anniversary with a party at Hangar 13, their brand-new creative annex, and you’re invited to bask in the bizarre.
The Beer
We set out to brew a beer as unusual as the Peculiarium itself. The result? A Northwest IPA infused with the elusive blue Oregon emberquat—never before used in an IPA. The combo of juicy emberquats with Mosaic and Citra hops makes for a bright, citrusy pint with a stunning blue-to-purple hue that changes with the light. Trust us, this one’s a trip.
The Party

Can't make the party?! Peculiarium IPA is available at all three Gigantic Brewing locations, as well as at awesome beer shops and bars throughout Portland.
You're Invited to the Enchantment Under the Sea Prom!
Grab your date (or your crew), dust off your tiara, shine those dancing shoes, and get ready for a night of pure nostalgic magic at Gigantic Brewing’s Enchantment Under the Sea Adult Prom on Saturday, May 3rd from 7 to 11pm.
We’re going all out with decorations, lights, and even a Disco Shark to bring the underwater fantasy to life. Live DJs will be spinning everything from dreamy slow dances to dance floor bangers, spanning prom classics from the 1950s to today.
Big Jim Gifford will be on site with corsages and boutonnieres for sale, with every dollar going to charity—because even prom should have a good cause behind it.
Dress to impress, because we’ll be crowning the Gigantic Prom Royal Court, and the best dressed guest will walk away with a $100 Gigantic gift card. There’ll be prizes for the top three outfits, so bring your A-game, whether that means vintage glam, modern elegance, or full-on costume.
And what’s prom without prom photos? Strike a pose in our themed photo booth and capture the moment forever—awkward poses encouraged.
It’s just five bucks at the door, and trust us—you’re going to want to be there. So come ready to dance, toast to the good times, and make some magical memories under the sea.

Just Over Three Weeks to Build Your Car!
It starts with a block of wood, four tiny wheels, and either a meticulous plan or pure chaos. It ends in a 64-car, gravity- and beer-fueled showdown for glory. Welcome to the Stumptown 40, where childhood nostalgia meets adult beverages and dubiously legal aerodynamics.
When & where?
Saturday, April 26th at Gigantic Brewery – 5224 SE 26th Ave.
What’s at stake?
We’re handing out trophies in two glorious categories: fastest car – because speed is king.
art car – because style matters… as long as your car can still roll across the finish line. That’s the only rule.
How do you get in on this?
Step 1: Buy your race car kit in person at any Gigantic Brewing location.
Step 2: Fill out your registration, pick your race number, and get the official rules (yes, we have rules, but only where necessary).
Step 3: Either build a precision-engineered speed machine or an absurd masterpiece on wheels—as long as it moves, it’s legal.
It’s double elimination, so even if you bomb your first heat, you get another shot at redemption. And if your car turns out to be more “art” than “race,” at least you’ll still have beer.
Get your kit. Build your car. Race for glory.
See you at the starting line!
