Brewery Bus – Cruise between Gigantic & other local breweries all afternoon. The FREE shuttle bus stops ever ~30 mins and takes you to other breweries around town.

Big changes are coming to Gigantic Brewing Hawthorne!
This March, El Viejón PDX Taqueria y Mariscos will take over kitchen operations, bringing their acclaimed Nayarit-style Mexican cuisine to the Gigantic Hawthorne. Founded by Chef Eldy Prado, El Viejón has built a devoted following since launching its first food truck at Vice Beer in 2022, expanding to Fortside Brewing in 2024. Known for their handmade tortillas, fresh seafood, and bold flavors, their menu features standouts like ceviche, crispy fried rockfish, Cajun shrimp, and birria de res served with rich consomé. This new partnership promises the perfect fusion of craft beer and authentic Mexican flavors, creating an unforgettable food and drink experience.
El Viejón’s reputation for top-tier Mexican cuisine is well-earned, with accolades from Portland Beer Week’s Snackdown and Burger Brawl competitions in 2024. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome El Viejón to Gigantic Hawthorne. Their food is nothing short of spectacular, and we know this collaboration will take the brewery experience to the next level.
While the Gigantic kitchen will close on February 28th, there’s still time to enjoy favorites like the Gigantic Smashburger, Japanese Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Japanese Fried Tofu Sandwich before they’re gone.
