From the Brewers Association:
Boulder, CO . • Feb. 18, 2025—The Brewers Association (BA) is pleased to announce that Esther and JC Tetreault, co-founders of Trillium, will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 Craft Brewers Conference® (CBC) & BrewExpo America® on April 29 in Indianapolis.
In their keynote, “Maybe You’re Not Doing It Wrong: Finding YOUR Path to Success,” Esther and JC will share their journey of innovation, sustainability, growth, and resilience; a path forged upon careful decision making and strategy. From its beginnings in 2013, Trillium has remained committed to crafting world-class beverages while exploring new ways to innovate in product, process, and customer experience. Trillium's dedication to quality, sustainability, and community have become cornerstones of the brand and have shaped the company's evolution against the backdrop of a rapidly changing craft brewing marketplace.
“Our path is not unlike yours. We’ve made serious decisions, juggled plans with reality, and rode the crests and valleys of the market. We’re eager to share how our strategy driven approach has helped us navigate the day-to-day challenges and provide you with actionable items to consider for your brewery,” said the Tetreaults in a joint statement. “In the twelve years since Trillium opened until today our industry has changed dramatically; from the emergence of New England style IPA, through the complexities of Covid, to the current explosion of consumer interest in new products and experiences, all of us have experienced both joy and frustration while plying our craft. We look forward to sharing our approach to hospitality, continuous improvement, and innovation that has helped us remain resilient.”
Founded in 2013, New England-based Trillium has grown from a small brewery in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood to a hospitality icon known for its dedication to quality, innovation, and community-driven values. With a deep commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, Trillium has expanded to multiple locations while maintaining its artisanal approach to brewing and, more recently, distilling.
Esther, a seasoned entrepreneur, has utilized her strong foundation in business to propel Trillium to its current success, while JC has leveraged his background in biology and biochemistry alongside innovative, rule-breaking techniques to create a wide range of beers and spirits that consistently earn the praise of experts and fans alike.
“Innovation remains a leading topic in the craft brewing industry, and we’re excited to share the Tetreaults’ story and business approach at CBC this year,” said Ann Obenchain, vice president of marketing and communications at the Brewers Association. “Their journey offers valuable perspective and insights for small and independent brewers looking for inspiration to forge their own new paths to success and we look forward to having them at CBC this year.”
The 2025 Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America will take place in Indianapolis from April 28 to May 1. Attendees can expect nearly 125 expert speakers and 60 seminars intended to provide actionable insights across various beverage alcohol tracks, including technical brewing techniques, quality control, marketing strategies, safety and sustainability, legal and regulatory issues, emerging trends, and more. Members can register for the conference with early bird pricing until February 28. Qualified members of the media can apply for conference credentials on the media page.
