BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse Releasing Zany Zitrus IPA

From BJ’s:

This week, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse unveiled its latest seasonal brew, the Zany Zitrus IPA. This bold, New England-style Hazy IPA made its debut on taps and in cans across BJ’s locations nationwide on February 27, 2025. A vibrant addition to their seasonal lineup, Zany Zitrus IPA highlights BJ’s ongoing commitment to innovation and reinforces its leadership in the craft beer scene.

What sets Zany Zitrus apart? With a 7.4% ABV and 50 IBU, Zany Zitrus features tropical fruit aromas like orange, grapefruit, mango, and papaya, alongside a smooth, full-bodied flavor that balances bright citrus and tropical fruit notes with a mild malt sweetness and just the right amount of hop bitterness. It takes the best aspects of a West Coast IPA—intense hop aroma and fruity flavors—but with a smoother finish and less bitterness, making it more approachable for a wider audience. Its hazy, unfiltered look is a hallmark of New England-style IPAs, which BJ’s Head Brewer Aaron Stueck crafted using a blend of Bravo, Cascade, Cashmere, and Citra hops. This beer delivers a “friendly IPA” experience—packed with flavor but less intense than traditional American IPAs.

Zany Zitrus is a testament to BJ’s ongoing brewing legacy. For over 20 years, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse has been a pioneer in the craft beer space, continuously pushing the envelope in both seasonal and flagship beers. The Zany Zitrus IPA is no exception, highlighting BJ’s commitment to innovation and quality brewing.

Zany Zitrus IPA is available on tap at BJ’s locations and in cans for customers to take home, offering multiple ways to enjoy this exciting new brew.
