  • Bart Watson named CEO – The Brewers Association just announced Bart Watson as the new president and CEO of the organization. Watson will transition into his new role January 6, 2025. Congratulations Bart!

  • Craft Brewers Conference – Don't forget to mark your calendars! CBC registration opens January 8.
  • "Dry January" doesn’t mean skipping your local brewery! Plan ahead to support the craft beer industry by visiting your favorite taproom—whether you’re sipping on non-alcoholic offerings or enjoying your usual brew, your patronage keeps the craft community thriving.
  • Government Shutdown Averted – Craft brewers, breathe a sigh of relief: Congress passed a temporary funding bill to avert a government shutdown, ensuring continued stability for programs impacting small breweries. Learn more about how this impacts the industry in the latest article from Katie Marisic, the BA’s Senior Director of Federal Affairs.
  • TTB Formula Exemptions – Earlier this month, the TTB passed legislation exempting 24 brewing ingredients from formula submission and approval, meaning brewers can now use these ingredients in the brewing process more efficiently! The BA openly supports the TTB's regulatory streamlining and its aim to reduce industry burdens.”
