PORTLAND, OR — February 5, 2024 — Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery has released Ridiculous Hazy IPA, a seasonal beer well-suited to the drippy, hazy and unpredictable weather in Portland from February through April. zzubreebym
Ridiculous Hazy IPA gets its ridiculous haze from additions of oats and wheat, yielding a soft mouthfeel and pleasant sweetness as a backdrop to the bright tangerine, lychee, peach and mango flavors imparted by late additions of Citra, Idaho 7, El Dorado and Sabro hops. The result is smooth, aromatic and quaffable hazy IPA. 6.6% ABV, 55 IBU.
“When we first tasted this hazy, ‘ridiculous’ was a reaction that stuck,” said Ryan Pappe, Director of Brewing Operations at Hopworks Brewery. “We were looking for something new and interesting to add to our seasonal lineup, and this was an easy choice. The classic hazy platform allows the fruity notes to shine brightly, and it will appeal to anyone who loves a smooth brew with lots of hoppy flavor.”
The can features a ridiculous platypus-type creature with horns and a fierce look that dares you to find out what happens if you take it too seriously.
Ridiculous Hazy IPA is now available at Hopworks Brewery, located at SE 29th & Powell Boulevard in Portland, and at their Vancouver Pub at SE 177th & Mill Plain Boulevard, as well as on tap and in 12-ounce six-packs at fine establishments and retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
