Beer and coffee. Two of our finest beverages. You could argue our very finest. And when you can bring the two together with your hometown’s best roastery, you do it.
On that note, please welcome Nitro Coffee Ale, a house blend from Surly Brewing and Peace Coffee, to stores and tap lines beginning this week.
Surly Brewing and Peace Coffee came up together in Minneapolis. Both our brands were at the forefront of the coffee and craft beer renaissance of the past twenty years, and our paths finally cross with this year-round release, which is brewed on nitro with Peace’s Yeti Cold Brew Blend for extraordinary smoothness. A shared dedication to our local community and product excellence comes through in every rich, roasty sip. And it looks cool when you pour it.

What does it do? It makes the beer noticeably smoother and creamier.
Should I drink it straight out of the can? You can do whatever you want. This is America. That said, don’t.
OK, how should I drink it if you’re so damn smart? Turn it upside down three times. Open and pour hard into a pint glass. Admire the cascading bubbles. Enjoy the smooth, creamy excellence. Repeat as necessary.
Why a pint glass? Because a can of Nitro Coffee Ale is 16 oz. There are 16 oz. to a pint. You may spill a little your first time or two, but we believe in you.
Which Peace Coffee brand are you using? Yeti Cold Brew Blend.
How much caffeine per serving? 50mg, equal to a cup of green tea.
What happened to Coffee Bender? After a long, fruitful life, Coffee Bender is retired for now.
