Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA (Review)

When you think about the month of October, you’re probably thinking about fall colors, or Halloween…but what about Pizza? If you’re not already doing it, you’ll soon be questioning exactly what you’re reading and what October, beer and pizza have in common…well wonder no more.

You may not know it already, but October is National Pizza Month, and when you’re talking pizza, you have to be also talking about beer. This is where today’s brewery and beer come in; because just a few weeks ago, Deschutes Brewery decided to have a pizza party. As part of that party, Deschutes has “crowned” their Fresh Squeezed IPA as the Official Beer Of Pizza.

Of course if the IPA has the word “fresh” in the name and “squeezed” also in the name, I’m on board. After all, who doesn’t love a fresh IPA that also is loaded with “squeezed” citrus like grapefruit?…and who doesn’t love a fresh hoppy beer with their pizza?

If that’s not enough fun, Deschutes is also offering up a sweepstakes to promote Fresh Squeezed IPA & pizza. Details from Deschutes

But hold on to your pint glasses because Deschutes is turning up the heat even more! In celebration of this pizza and beer extravaganza, they're giving up to $5 back of the purchase of any one 12-pack or two 6-packs in 12oz cans or bottles of Deschutes Brewery products and giving away 10 Solo Stove Pi Pizza ovens to help you create the ultimate pie right at home. To get your rebate and enter the sweepstakes online, visit DeschutesPintsAndPizza.com. You must be 21 or older and legally reside within the United States to enter this sizzling sweepstakes. See DeschutesPintsAndPizza.com for complete rules and details.

For beer and pizza lovers in Oregon, Deschutes is hosting pizza parties at both beloved Deschutes Brewery and Public Houses in Bend and Portland. At each pizza party and while supplies last, Deschutes will be offering a free slice of pizza to guests who order Fresh Squeezed IPA. Help us fire up the party on Thursday, October 12 from 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM at the Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Portland, just in time for football on the extra-large TVs. Keep the party going on Thursday, October 19 from 4:30 – 9:00 PM at the Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Bend.

Of course I can’t wait to try another Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA…os off we go…Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA (Review)

Overall: Fresh Squeezed IPA has a really well balanced presentation of citrusy bitter hops and mildly sweet malt. The 2-row, Munich and Crystal malt team up with the Citra and Mosaic hops on-board to make for a really drinkable IPA, with or without pizza.
