Squash Ale Returns at Ground Breaker Brewing

From Ground Breaker:

Squash Ale, the ultimate blend of Oktoberfest and Pumpkin beers, is back at Ground Breaker Brewing. Squash Ale features nearly 200 pounds of roasted squash and is lightly spiced with cinnamon, coriander and nutmeg.

“When working on the recipe for Squash Ale, I looked at our old recipes from 2014 and 2016.” remarked Head Brewer Gloria Zeiger. “I wanted to give a nod to the original, but also make something different and exciting for the gluten free community.”

Last available in 2016, this year’s release is brewed with a base of vienna and munich malts, similar in style to a dark fest beer. This marks the first release of the beer in 16-ounce cans.

“We simplified the process a bit this year,” said Head of Operations Jesse Bufton. “We’re still using two-hundred pounds of roasted pumpkin and a light hand when it comes to the spice. I think this is the best Squash Ale release we’ve ever offered.”

Squash Ale is available now at Ground Breaker Brewing and will begin shipping to distribution partners the first week of October.
