Western New York Beer Week Returns September 23-30

Weeklong Event To Celebrate Beer Made in WNY

Buffalo, N.Y. - After a two-year hiatus, The Western New York Brewers Guild is proud to announce the return of WNY Beer Week, an opportunity to celebrate beer produced in Western New York. As the region’s beer reputation has grown over the years, WNY Beer Week will highlight the quality, diversity, and the economic impact that local craft beer provides for the entire Western New York Region.

Currently, Western New York is home to over 40 craft breweries. Western New York has led the way for New York State to become the 4th largest craft beer producer in the country and contributed over $5.4 billion dollars of economic impact to the state's economy. Additionally, the local craft beer industry employs over 1,000 people locally and contributes significant dollars to local causes and not-for-profits.

“WNY Beer Week is the opportunity to celebrate the great beer and great people that contribute to our brewing community. If, for some reason, you have not tried a local beer, this is the week to head out and ask “What’s Local?,” states WNY Brewers Guild President, Jason Havens.

The week’s events will include specials on locally produced beers and bars and restaurants throughout Western New York, as well as special beer releases and events at member breweries of the Western New York Brewers Guild. More information on WNY Beer Week and participating bars, restaurants, and breweries, can be found at www.wnybeerweek.com.
