B.R. Distilling Company Excels With Double Golds in 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Blue Note Brands Earned Prestigious Awards for Third Consecutive Year

MEMPHIS, TN : B.R. Distilling Company’s Blue Note Bourbon was recently honored as a top winner at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). More specifically, Blue Note Juke Joint Straight Bourbon and Blue Note Crossroads Straight Bourbon were each awarded prestigious Double Gold Medals in the tasting competition for the second consecutive year.

B.R. Distilling Company’s Blue Note Bourbon is a classic, full-bodied straight bourbon whiskey with notes of maple, caramel, and vanilla which is recognized for its long, velvet finish. It is bold, yet smooth. Blue Note Juke Joint has a vanilla taste with an allspice finish that fades into notes of oak, pear, and vanilla. Blue Note Crossroads is another incredible offering from the brand featuring a toasted French Oak finish.

“We are honored to be awarded for the third consecutive year and realize that earning a Double Gold Medal is no small feat in this highly competitive environment,” said Logan Welk, Blue Note President and COO. “Winning a SFWSC Double Gold Medal reflects our dedication to serving high-quality bourbons across our entire product line. With this notable credibility, we promise to continue serving excellence with every bottle.”
B.R. Distilling Company has been recognized in the 2021, 2022, and now 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the oldest and largest competition of its kind, according to its
website. Spirits are awarded Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals, with Gold setting the standard for each category. Double Gold is an even bigger honor, meaning that every member of the judging panel gave a Gold Metal rating to both Blue Note Juke Joint and Blue Note Crossroads.

In addition to being recognized at the SFWSC, the distillery has won a number of additional awards and accolades, including a SIP Awards 2022 Platinum Medal and Ascot Awards 2022 Gold Medal, both for Blue Note Juke Joint, and Ascot Awards 2022 Double Platinum Medal for Blue Note Uncut. Also in 2022, Whisky Advocate awarded Blue Note Uncut 92 points and named it in the “Top 20 Whiskies of 2022” at No. 7.
As of May 2023, B.R. Distilling Company now offers
distillery tours and tastings in a newly opened tasting room. Fans of the Blue Note Bourbon line-up can tour the production facility and taste the three Blue Note Bourbons: Blue Note Juke Joint, Blue Note Crossroads, and Blue Note Uncut weekly on Thursday and Friday afternoons.
