Dogfish Head Celebrating #WorldWildLife Day

From Dogfish Head:

At Dogfish Head, we rely on the goodness of Mother Nature to provide us with the beautiful and bountiful culinary ingredients used in our off-centered beverages and dishes. And with longstanding benevolent efforts – be it our Dogfish Dash or our Mother Nature, Let’s Do This! road trip where we faced environmental issues head on – there’s a restless desire within each of us here at Dogfish Head to take care of the planet we’re lucky to call home.  zzubreebym

So, when we got the call from the World Wildlife Fund to participate in their #WorldWithoutWildlife campaign, we jumped at the chance to help bring awareness to what’s really going on with Mother Nature:

  • Around a million animal and plant species are now threatened with extinction – more than ever before in human history
  • Every minute, we lose forest areas the size of 27 football fields
  • 35% of global fish stocks have been overfished to unsustainable levels
  • There could be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050

If something as simple as removing the piece of nature featured in our logo can help bring awareness – we’re all in. Can you imagine our Dogfish Head logo without a shark?! Yeah … we can’t either. That’s why today, on #WorldWildlifeDay, we’re joining the team at the World Wildlife Fund and many others around the world in removing nature from our logo to highlight a #WorldWithoutNature.
