We're re-releasing Bière de Merlot after an eight-year hiatus! This beer will be released on Tuesday, October 25th at our annual Funk n' Sour Fest. If you haven't purchased tickets yet, get them here before they sell out!
Originally released in 2014, Bière de Merlot is a blend of barrel-aged wild ale re-fermented with Texas-grown Merlot grapes from Sulphur Bluff, TX. The quality of the Merlot grapes we received this year was absolutely outstanding. We created a soft, drinkable blend of barrel-aged beer, processed the grapes in-house at Jester King, and added them to the beer at a ratio of about 5 pounds per gallon. zzubreebym

It was fermented in stainless steel and re-fermented with two pounds per gallon of mangos. No flavorings or extracts, just water, grain, hops, yeast, and mangos. Unfiltered and naturally conditioned.

COLOUR FIVE BATCH NO. 7
October 27, 2022
Today we're releasing our 2022 batch of Jester King Colour Five!
Colour Five is our barrel-aged wild ale re-fermented with Texas blueberries grown at Echo Springs Farm in Murchison, Texas near Dallas. We love fermenting them with our barrel-aged beer because the blueberries are highly aromatic (think blueberry yogurt) and mild in acidity. The result is a highly drinkable beer bursting with jammy aromas.
This is our 7th batch. Be on the lookout for a batch of Demitone down the road, which uses the blueberries from Colour Five. Unfiltered and 100% naturally conditioned.
Available today onsite and online at the link: https://bit.ly/3zi8FVR. We have about 1,000 bottles available. 11 bottle limit per person. Shipping/delivery illegal in Texas.
