Brewery Vivant Set to Launch Bold New Interpretation of Their #1 Beer

From Brewery Vivant:

On Thursday, May 26 Brewery Vivant will celebrate the release of their newest beer, Farm Hand Tart Tangerine. This Farm Hand variation takes their famous saison and adds bold tangerine and a touch of tartness. The result is a new interpretation of a classic Vivant ale.    zzubreebym

“Farm Hand was the first beer we ever made,'' says Jason Spaulding, Brewery Vivant Co-Founder & CEO. “My wife and I toured the countryside breweries of France and Belgium which ended up being the inspiration to start the brewery.  On that trip we dreamed up the recipe of what is now our most famous beer. After 12 years of business, it felt right to build off the legacy of that brand and take it in a new, fun direction” he adds.

To celebrate the event, the Vivant chefs will have food specials featuring tangerines, including specially designed desserts from their pastry chef. These specials are created to pair well with Tart Tangerine and will highlight the talent of their scratch kitchen. Tart Tangerine will be sold at a special release weekend price of $20 for two 4 packs of 16oz cans. This price is only available to guests at the pub from Thursday through Monday.

“We had a lot of fun creating this new version of Farm Hand and are excited the way it turned out,” says Kris Spaulding, President and Co-founder. “We did some test marketing earlier this year and our local community was really engaged. Our best customers helped decide the direction we went with this beer. We wanted to create a weekend long celebration to have some fun and thank all our fans who helped guide us,” says Spaulding.

To go along with the weekend long celebration, there will be games like a tangerine toss in the beer garden and a tangerine inspired version of the famous Plinko game will be set up for guests' enjoyment. Juggler extraordinaire and Comedian Will Oltman will be performing throughout the pub from 6-8pm. Charismatic and uniquely entertaining, Oltman has been a fixture in the Grand Rapids entertainment scene for over a decade, performing for clients such as Site:Lab, ArtPrize and UICA to name a few.

The event is open to the public on Thursday, May 26 from 3-10pm at 925 Cherry St. SE, Grand Rapids.

Farm Hand Tart Tangerine goes into state-wide distribution starting next week. People all around Michigan can find the beer as it hits store shelves and shows up on tap at their local restaurants all around the State.  This new version of Farm Hand is planned to be a new mainstay offering for the Company so it will be kicked off this summer but available all year round.
