Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA

I’m a big IPA fan and I really enjoy sampling all of the combinations and IPA styles hitting the beer-shelves…and I’ll admit up front, the imperial IPA’s are among my favorites. I’m also a big fan of Top Gun (the movie) so with that in mind, I was really excited to get a chance to sample the newly released New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA.

Just released a few days ago, this beer drives right down the center of my IPA lane. If you’re not familiar, the beer is a hazy imperial IPA, and as you may have  guessed from the name, it is juice-forward. The beer will rock in at 9.5%-AbV and it is already a top five selling beer for the Voodoo Ranger brand….with more to come. The beer is brewed with Mexican orange, mango and passion fruit (as well as Chinook, Mosaic, Pahto, Galaxy, Lotus, Sabro, and Strata hops), so naturally I can’t wait to try it, so off we go…

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA

ABV:  9.5%
Style:  Hazy Imperial IPA
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Hazy deep golden
Aroma:   Oranges, tangerine, citrusy hops and grapefruit
Mouthfeel:   Medium slightly boozy
Taste:   Fruit-forward, bright citrus, tropical fruits & juicy mango
Overall: Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA has to be one of my favorites form the Voodoo Ranger line of beers. The combination of fruit and juice-forward flavors, the overall drinkability and the really sneaky 9.5%-AbV make for a really enjoyable beer experience. Overall the beer is loaded with flavor and complexity and a really pleasant combination of fruit flavors.
