Jester King Releasing Balcones Bourbon Barrel Aged Moderne Dansk

From Jester King:

We're very excited to release Balcones Bourbon Barrel Aged Moderne Dansk!

This is the double-barrel-aged version of Jester King Moderne Dansk! We aged wild beer in neutral oak wine barrels for a year, refermented with Danish Stevnsbær cherry juice from Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin in Denmark, then aged the beer for another year in Bourbon Whisky barrels from our good friends at Balcones Distilling in Waco, Texas! The sweet and savory character from the Stevnsbær cherry juice is simply unrivaled in our opinion, and the bourbon character from the Balcones barrels takes this beer to a whole new level!

Expect notes of Luxardo Maraschino Cherries, Old Fashioned, Cherry Heering, Hershey's KISSES filled with cherry cordial, Big Red soda, and Bananas Foster sauce. 9.1% abv.

On sale now! Order online (www.jesterkingbrewery.com) or visit our brewery, kitchen and farm in the Texas Hill Country on the edge of Austin. We have about 1,900 bottles available (375ml/$25). No distro. 1 case (12 bottle) limit. Proxies welcome. Shipping and delivery illegal for Texas breweries. Art by Joshua Cockrell. Photo by Granger Coats.

We hope you enjoy and cheers to our friends at Frederiksdal and Balcones for making this beer possible!Jester King Releasing Balcones Bourbon Barrel Aged Moderne Dansk
