MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH March 30, 2021 – Grapefruit Goggle Fogger Wheat will roll into grocery stores and bars and restaurants in mid-May, an unscheduled addition to Fat Head’s 2021 beer release schedule. A fruited twist on Fat Head’s beloved Hefe-weizen, Grapefruit Goggle will be available in 15pk cans and draft throughout the summer season. Original Goggle Fogger earned a Gold Medal for German-style Wheat Ale at the most recent Great American Beer Festival in the fall of 2020.
The vibrant pink color of the Grapefruit Goggle Fogger package provides a direct link to the charitable partner teaming with Fat Head’s on the new brew – the Pink Boots Society. The brewing-focused non- profit dedicated to assisting, inspiring and encouraging women in the brewing industry will receive a portion of sales through contributions of Fat Head’s and its network or distribution partners. Their iconic logo resides on both the can and carrier art.

At 5.4% ABV, Grapefruit Goggle Fogger possesses an inviting grapefruit aroma, followed initially by bubblegum and grapefruit notes upfront. The addition of grapefruit lends a fruity dry body and crispiness to the beer and leads to a slightly tart finish. The beer will be available throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania from its mid-May initial ship date through at least Labor Day in September on draft and in 15pk cans, with a suggested retail price of $19.99. In the most recent report on chain grocery sales for the state of Ohio, Goggle Fogger ranked as the #1 craft wheat beer for the 52 weeks ending 2/28/21, up +66%, according to IRI.
