SPECIAL EDITION COASTERS NOW AVAILABLE
Pencil, paint, digital art, napkin doodles… there are a lot of mediums for self-expression. We gave four artists free reign with our labels for our four most beloved year-round beers. This set of four ceramic coasters showcases their artistic passion for these beers featured in our latest Stone IPA Mixed Pack.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
After putting out a call to action, we gave four artists free reign with our labels. This Guest Artist Series Mixed Pack aims to showcase their artistic passion (and mad skills) in the medium that we’re most familiar with – bottles of our four most beloved year-round beers.
Stone IPA: Ben Fellowes
If I were to cast the Stone Brewing gargoyle as a movie character, it would definitely be as James Bond. That's why when I answered the call to draw their iconic hero, I chose to recreate him with the 007 swagger and supercool sophistication that he represents to me. With my illustration I wanted to capture "superior taste," strength" and "refinement." The qualities that perfectly describe this IPA from my favorite brewery.
Delicious IPA: Edweird See
Edweird See was born at an early age in Northern California. Unsatisfied with becoming a 20th degree black belt in Kung Fu and mastering all the languages in the world, his quest for artistic inspiration and good beer brought him to the North Park neighborhood in San Diego. His art can be spotted at local bars and pop up shops around the neighborhood. He now resides in a mansion surrounded by beautiful models, flamingos and a gargoyle butler. True story!
Stone ///Fear.Movie.Lions Hazy Double IPA: Jimbo Phillips
Jimbo Phillips has been doing artwork design and graphic illustration professionally for nearly 30 years! He began in the 80s working under his father, but soon after, started his own graphic art business specializing in outrageous eye-popping designs and highly recognizable graphics for surf, skate and snowboard brands, record labels, and clothing companies. He has had international exposure, traveling around the globe to display in art shows, and loves to share his passion for art with people who enjoy it. He also runs his own webstore featuring limited releases of high quality products featuring his unique art.
Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA: McBiff
David McNeley, also known as "McBiff," is a traditional artist from Huffington Beach, CA specializing in acrylic painting and digital art. His unique New Mid-Century Pop style displays an intriguing habitat that is reminiscent of a commercial ad industry of a bygone era. Inspired by Disney artists that came before him and a healthy union with a paintbrush, McBiff is a self-taught artist. His techniques are his own and have taken many years to develop. His renowned works in pop and tiki culture make him the perfect guest artist for our Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA.
