This 15 Apr 2021 update from Saint Arnold:
Coming Monday:
Small Batch Barrel Aged
Russian Imperial Stout
Our latest special release has local written all over it. A collaboration with our Houston friends at Catalina Coffee and our Sugar Land neighbors Xocolla Craft Chocolate, our Russian Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Vanilla, Cocoa Nibs, and Coffee is a big Houston beer.
This indulgent 11.5% ABV version of our Russian Imperial Stout is enhanced with additions of vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coffee. The base beer was aged in an array of Four Roses bourbon barrels for 14 months, then blended into one beer. Vanilla, cocoa nibs, and coffee were added after blending to create an opulent beer worthy of replacing or supplementing your dessert course.
The coffee used in this brew was locally roasted Temporada from Catalina Coffee (more on them in a bit), while the Arriba cocoa nibs came from Xocolla Craft Chocolate. That's Ecuadorian chocolate by way of Sugar Land.
Starting Monday, April 19, this special release beer will be available in 12 oz bottles in stores across the Houston and DFW area.

Original Russian Imperial Stout
Want to taste the special barrel aged version of our Russian Imperial Stout side-by-side with the base beer? Of course you do! Originally released as a Beer Garden exclusive in March 2020, our Russian Imperial Stout will be making its way from our cellar to store shelves for the first time starting Monday.
This special release beer has a rich malty body full of coffee and chocolate flavors and a spiciness derived from the combination of hops and high alcohol. It was brewed with a variety of malts including 2 row pale, crystal, chocolate, and roasted barley. It was hopped with Nugget, Willamette and Centennial. We used our Saint Arnold yeast to ferment this unfiltered beer.
Our Russian Imperial Stout comes in at 10.1% ABV and will be available in 500 mL bottles at select stores across the Houston area.

This 5 Mar 2021 update from Saint Arnold:
Coming Monday:
Double Down Double IPA
All In On Hops! Our newest year round release, Double Down, is our latest take on a double IPA. It is neither of the West Coast or East Coast, but features elements of both approaches to the style.
For this beer, our focus was to create big tropical and melon notes while integrating bitterness rather than it being a focal point. To accomplish this, we used late kettle hop additions and Incognito, an all-natural hop product that delivers highly concentrated flavor and aroma. The hop bill includes Pahto, Citra, Citra Incognito, Mosaic, Mosaic Incognito, and Galaxy. The result is aces.
Double Down comes in at 9.2% ABV and 71 IBU. It will be available in six packs starting Monday, March 8 (though you may have seen it on a shelf or two already). You can also stop by our Beer Garden & Restaurant next week to enjoy it on draft or grab a six pack to-go.

Double Barrel Russian Imperial Stout
Speaking of doubling down, our newest barrel aged Special Release does just that. This one's aged in bourbon barrels, then finished in a different set of bourbon barrels.
The base beer is an unfiltered Russian Imperial Stout with a rich malty body full of coffee and chocolate flavors and a spiciness derived from the combination of hops and high alcohol. It was brewed with a variety of malts including 2 row pale, crystal, chocolate and roasted barley. It was hopped with Nugget, Willamette, and Centennial and fermented with our Saint Arnold yeast.
If the beer sounds familiar, it should. The recipe for Divine Reserve No. 5 and 15 has long been a favorite of ours. For this special version, we aged it in Early Times bourbon barrels for 17 months, racked it out, and transferred it to fresh Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, where it aged an additional 11 months. The result is this 12.9% Double Barrel Russian Imperial Stout.
Place your order for these 500 mL bottles now through Sunday (or while supplies last) via the link below, and stop by to pick up your order between Monday, March 8 and Sunday, March 14. All sales are final.
If any quantities remain after this presale, they will be made available for purchase at our Beer Garden & Restaurant (in person and online) beginning Tuesday, March 9.
