Attention Hopocalypse survivors, the light is at the end of the tunnel! It's radiating with the golden glow of BEER! Last year taught us to live in the moment, and appreciate all the little things life has to offer. At Drake's, little things often come with BIG ABVs and truck loads of hops! SEIZE THE BEER with our annual release of HOPOCALYPSE.
Bottles and cans of the Hopocalypse series are now available for PRE PURCHASE ONLY (while supplies last!) and can be picked up at Drake's Barrel House in San Leandro from February 10th to 13th.
While we wish we could celebrate in-person, every Hopocalypse purchase will include access to our virtual tasting event with Director of Brewing Operations, DeVonne Buckingham, and Brewmaster John Gillooly. We'll include a tasting evaluation sheet and a Hopocalypse blindfold with your bottles so you can follow along at home, with some additional goodies based on your package choice.
BEER DETAILS
This year’s Hopocalypse Double IPA (Green Label) release will feature a new hop called Talus (formerly HBC 692), which will add deep notes of citrus zest and pine resin to an already potent hopping of Simcoe and El Dorado. It’s always a pleasure to roll out a new hop into an established favorite like Hopocalypse DIPA, so look forward to an extra punchy version this year in 4-packs of 16oz. cans!
Hopocalypse Triple IPA (Black Label) is probably the most challenging beer we make every year, exceeding our basic operating thresholds through the brewhaus and cellars. By using too much malt and too many hops, this TIPA delivers a ridiculous hop bomb with a clean backing malt flavor. The combination of Mosaic, Amarillo and Idaho 7 hops produce deep aromas of dark fruits and indica. Only available in 750ml bottles.

Hopocalypse Triple IPA is available in 750 ml. bottles, while Hopocalypse Double IPA is sold in 4-packs of 16oz. cans. We’re also offering Hopocalypse Hazy Double IPA (White Label) in 6-packs of 12oz. cans. They can all be purchased individually or as part of these special packages:
