Dock Street Announces Our Madam Vice President Lager

From Dock St:

We’re raising a pint in honor of this game-changer on Inauguration Day!

We’ve had non-stop chills and spontaneous happy-dance parties here at our woman-owned brewery since a week or so into November, when the winners of the 2020 Presidential Election were announced. This is a HUGE step forward for all of us, and we want to celebrate the nation’s first female, Black, and Asian-American Vice President Kamala Harris by announcing a brand new brew, coming in February, called Dock Street Madam Vice President.

DOCK STREET MADAM VICE PRESIDENT
4.5% ABV 30 IBUs

4.5% ABV, 30 IBUs - A powerful, uplifting lager with a crisp, light, bready malt body, and significant aroma contributed primarily by Lotus hops in honor of our very own Madam Vice President, Kamala Harris, whose name means “Lotus” in Sanskrit. She is the first woman, the first Black American, and first Asian American Vice President in the history of the United States. This hard-earned accomplishment represents a life-changing, new precedent-setting, standard-rewriting, glass-ceiling-shattering win for womxn, people of color, children of immigrants, hard workers, and humankind. The future is oh-so-bright!

$1 of every four-pack sale will be donated to Philabundance to covers two meals.

Stay tuned for updates and a release date in late February for this beer in 16oz cans!

This 26 Feb 2021 update from Dock St:

She’s finally here!
Dock Street Madam Vice President in 16oz cans is dropping March 5th at 4pm at BOTH locations; our way of starting the International Women’s Day celebrations a bit early.

We’re making it a party - as best we can with this whole COVID thing - at Dock Street South from 4pm-6pm with DJ Lovely spinning funky and beautiful sounds to get us feeling celebratory. Artist Sarah Russell, who created the beautiful artwork on the can label, will be on hand selling prints of her Kamala portrait as well as other iconic pieces.

Beer will be available for purchase - first-come, first-served AND by pre-ordering online, as well. Scroll for more details and a link to pre-purchase.

Real talk…

Whether or not you agree with her politics or like her as a person or politician, what her election to the nation’s second highest office means is bigger than all that. This is a huge victory for womxn, and specifically Womxn of Color. It’s a win and an acknowledgement and a shattering of so many glass ceilings that we have not, until a couple months ago, ever before seen in our country’s history. THAT is worth putting aside our differences for and celebrating the heck out of!
