Anheuser-Busch Delivering 200,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Support Hurricane Laura Relief EffortsFrom Anheuser-Busch:

Anheuser-Busch is delivering four truckloads – more than 200,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to support local communities in Louisiana and Texas impacted by Hurricane Laura. The donation comes at the request of the American Red Cross following the major category 4 hurricane which made landfall earlier this week.

As employee safety is the foremost and primary concern, Anheuser-Busch is working closely with their local teams – including at its Houston brewery – to ensure colleagues and partners in the region are safe.

The donation of emergency drinking water will be delivered to Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partners, Southwest Beverage in in Alexandria, LA and Silver Eagle Distributing in Houston, TX who will work alongside the American Red Cross to distribute to those in need.

The clean, safe drinking water was produced at Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville, Georgia brewery which periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can emergency drinking water to help communities in times of disaster.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross – dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 83 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters and other crises nationwide.

This month, Anheuser-Busch has also provided more than 100,000 cans of water to support Red Cross wildfire relief efforts in California and more than 1 million cans to volunteer fire departments across the country through their partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council.
