Denver, CO  – Station 26 Brewing Co. announced today the founding of the For You For All Diversity in Craft Beer Scholarship in partnership with Regis University.

The For You For All Diversity in Craft Beer Scholarship will provide scholarship support to deserving, underrepresented students in the Applied Craft Brewing Certificate Program at Regis.

In establishing this scholarship, Station 26 hopes to take steps towards a more diverse workforce in the craft brewing industry in Colorado.

Station 26 Brewing Co. is contributing $10,000 to the scholarship fund and is endeavoring to fundraise a minimum of $50,000 to create an endowed scholarship. They hope to raise the remaining funds from their colleagues, partners, vendors, friends, and customers in the industry.

“Increased diversity in craft beer is desperately needed,” said Justin Baccary, Founder + President of Station 26. “We believe this scholarship is a strong step towards progress, and we look forward to seeing the impact this funding can have with the support of Colorado’s craft brewing industry at large.”

“Regis University is proud to partner with Station 26 Brewing Co. as we seek to improving diversity in the craft brewing community,” said Matthew Peetz, MS, Director of the Applied Craft Brewing Program. “The craft brewing community in Colorado is one of the strongest in the nation. By increasing minority representation, we will make it stronger, more competitive, and a true representation of our society.”

Station 26 Brewing Co. is a company built upon inclusivity for all. We, and our industry at large, still have work to do to achieve the kind of diversity and inclusivity we espouse.

We are proud to announce the For You For All Diversity in Craft Beer Scholarship at Regis University.

We recognize and empathize with the heartbreak, fear, anger, frustration, confusion, indignation, and powerlessness that many feel as a result of the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others. We asked ourselves what we could do in our space to make a difference.

Our goal in establishing this scholarship is to take steps towards a more diverse workforce in the craft brewing industry in Colorado. We believe that increased diversity and access to brewing jobs for underrepresented individuals will lead to greater creativity and engagement and will enable Colorado’s craft beer community to work towards the systemic change our country needs.

The For You For All Diversity in Craft Beer Scholarship will provide scholarship support to deserving, underrepresented students in the Applied Craft Brewing Certificate Program at Regis University.

We are contributing $10,000 to this scholarship fund. We call on our colleagues in the industry, our partners, vendors, friends, and customers to help us reach a $50,000 goal, at which point this scholarship will become endowed and live on in perpetuity.
