Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights The New Shots Box Sample Box (Review)

Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights The New Shots Box Sample Box (Review)Yes, before you ask, I do enjoy and review a lot more than beer…and whether it’s hiking and outdoor equipment, electronics or personal care, one of my favorites is always spirits. Now I’ll admit that while I’m very familiar with members of the Whiskey family, I’m not that well versed in many other spirits and liquors…but with today’s review that’s actually good news.

Today I’ll be test driving the new Shots Box Sample Box coming from Shots Box in Los Angeles, CA. This new idea was launched in Oct 2018, and if you’re unfamiliar, here are some of the details.

Shots Box offers a monthly subscription box for craft spirits lovers and each box includes ten different sample size (50ml) bottles of a variety of spirits and liqueurs. The idea is perfect for me in that the subscription allows me to try out multiple different spirits before committing to buying a large bottle. The subscription has all sorts of options that include Whisky sampler boxes, Gin Lover’s sample boxes and many more.

Of course the best news for me and the reason that I’m posting this review is that Shots Box now allows you to build your very own Custom Shots Box. Choose from Absinth, Brandy, Gin, Liqueur, Shine, Mezcal, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Whiskey, Bourbon & more. This option allow you to build a really cool and personalized mix of spirits in your Shots Box and again you can try a small size before you buy a big size.

Shots Box allows for all sorts of options and price ranges for their subscription as well as subscription lengths that allow you to customize the service for you or even as a gift for someone else. If that’s not enough fun,Shots Box also offers a Cocktail Box Of The Month subscription as well.  Details on both services:

Customizable Monthly Sample Box: Our signature Shots Box with 10 minis is now fully customizable. Choose any 10 craft spirits minis from our variety and build the box you want to receive. In addition, you can customize our Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, and Liqueurs boxes as well with the assortment of brands you select in your choice liquor. Gin, vodka, liqueurs boxes are all $39.99. Whiskey and fully customizable variety boxes are $49.99. Monthly memberships come in one, three, six month, or year memberships.

Cocktail Box of the Month: Rotates monthly and kicks off with the Old Fashioned Cocktail Box including extracts/syrups, measuring spoon, sugar cubes, garnishes, recipe card and 4 Whiskey Minis of Balcones Texas Rye 50 ml (50% ABV, 100 Proof)

Shots Box will also continue to offer their Craft Club Membership in Clear, Dark, or Mixed Spirits which offers craft aficionados a box containing 3 full-sized specially-curated alcohol bottles delivered right to your doorstep every two months. My box included:

Gin: Quincy Street Distillery Dry Gin

Gin: Backwards Distilling Strongman Gin

Liqueur: Adelaide's Caramel Mocha Mojo Liqueur

Liqueur: Adelaide's Dreamsicle Orange Cream Liqueur

Liqueur: Fuegon Red Licorice Liqueur

Liqueur: Willie's Huckleberry Sweet Cream Liqueur

Tequila: Casamigos Reposado Tequila

Vodka: Western Son Peach Vodka

Whiskey: Crooked Fox Blended Bourbon Whiskey

Whiskey: BSB – Brown Sugar Bourbon

…and I can tell you that not only was there not a bottle in the box that I didn’t enjoy, but there were actually three or four that I will definitely get out and purchase a large bottle of later. Here’s a perfect example of why Shots Box works. I would never have bought a full bottle of Brown Sugar Bourbon, but after tasting it in a small bottle, I can’t wait to buy a full 750ml bottle.

Be sure to check out Shots Box for yourself and build your own Shots Box sample box…and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think
