Urban South Brewery Announces “Porch Fest,” a Free Virtual Concert Series

WHAT: Urban South Brewery is excited to introduce Urban South Porch Fest, a free virtual concert series happening over the span of three days. Porch Fest will take place Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12 and will feature musical performances from five local New Orleans artists: Juan Tigre, Champagne Girl, Claudio Tolousse, Casey Saba and Jonathan Pretus.

Fans are invited to tune in via Facebook Live or YouTube Live to enjoy their favorite Urban South brews and live local music from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Many local musicians are out of work and, as such, listeners will have the opportunity to donate to the performers via a virtual tip jar. With social distancing measures in place and bar and restaurant shutdowns across the country, Urban South Brewery wanted to provide some sense of normalcy to a festival season that isn’t off to its usual strong start.

In addition to the Porch Fest concert series, Urban South Brewery will also introduce a new Porch Fest beer this month during one of its weekly beer releases. Porch Fest will be a fruited milkshake double dry-hopped double IPA with tropical notes of pineapple, peach and lemon-lime.

Performances will take place on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. To learn more about Porch Fest and for additional updates, follow Urban South Brewery on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/urbansouthbeer/.
