A few weeks ago, the Captain Lawrence team headed up the Hudson River to visit our good friends at Newburgh Brewing. In between rounds of pinball, shuffleboard, and Pac-Man, we managed to squeeze in some brewing. The result? CaptainBoss!
CaptainBoss blends our favorite New England IPA recipes, MegaBoss and Powder Dreams, into an epic, juicy explosion of flavor. Powder Dreams’ signature dose of Lupulin Powder enhances MegaBoss’ bold notes of grapefruit, lemon and mango in this smooth and easy drinking brew.

Imperial Stout with Coffee, Oats and Milk Sugar

Sure, our brewers aren't technically baristas, but since work starts by 5 AM, they've learned a thing or two about coffee. Whenever a fresh pot is needed, we'll grab beans from our neighbors over at Black Cow Coffee in Croton-On-Hudson and before we know it, we're in caffeinated bliss. Our annual release of Double Pull lets us share our morning tradition with all of you!
On it's own, Double Pull's hefty malt bill creates the luxurious notes of dark chocolate and roast coffee we all love in a stout. The addition of Black Cow espresso skyrockets those delectable coffee notes into the stratosphere. Additions of oats and milk sugar creates a smooth, silky body and just a hint of sweetness.
