BOSTON, MA Dec. 11, 2019 – It’s no secret that hard seltzer is having a moment, but one competition is helping consumers decide which brands take the top spots when it comes to what matters most: taste. Arctic Summer, developed in collaboration with Polar Seltzer, placed in each of the three hard seltzer categories at the 23rd Annual Great International Beer, Cider, Mead & Sake Competition:
· Arctic Summer Black Cherry placed first in the “berry” category
· Arctic Summer Pineapple Pomelo placed second in the “other” category
· Arctic Summer Ruby Red Grapefruit placed third in the “citrus” category
A panel of 110 judges – all of whom work in the beverage industry – evaluated more than 28 hard seltzer brands and knew only the style, subcategory, and ABV for each entry. Arctic Summer was the only hard seltzer brand to place in each category.
The competition was born more than 20 years ago, but this was the first-year hard seltzer was included as a category.
