Limited 16oz Can Releases: Coco-Nator and Scratch #396 - Hazy Pale Ale.
The inspiration for Coco-Nator came from the winner of our first-ever Homebrew Hang: Kristen Richards of Harrisburg, PA. Starting with a base of Troegenator wort, Kristen brewed her take on our iconic Double Bock with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans and toasted coconut. Coco-Nator captured our hearts and palates, so we worked with Kristen to scale up the recipe. Thick and chewy with notes of caramel, coconut, sweet mash and vanilla, Coco-Nator is a hat tip to homebrewers everywhere.
We're starting to fine-tune an aromatic hop combination that we're planning to use for something special down the road. Scratch #396 showcases Citra, Idaho 7, Chinook and Azacca. Look for notes of passionfruit, orange, grapefruit and subtle white pine. London yeast will keep the beer dry and allow subtle malt and nut notes to come forward.
