From The Brewers Association:
Iconic Beer and Food Pairing Event Moves to The Anthem May 15
Boulder, Colo. • November 25, 2019 — SAVOR™: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience returns to Washington D.C. May 15 for its 13th year. Presented by the Brewers Association (BA), SAVOR marries flavor-forward, independent craft beer with sublime small bites to create an unforgettable culinary experience for beer lovers and foodies alike.
New this year, the popular event moves to D.C.’s new $60 million music venue, The Anthem. Just blocks from the National Mall, The Anthem is located at The Wharf on Southwest Washington, D.C.’s waterfront, and has a flexible capacity of anywhere from 2,500 to a maximum of 6,000. Owned by I.M.P., the company that owns the 9:30 Club and operates Merriweather Post Pavilion and the Lincoln Theatre, The Anthem is the first venue of its size in D.C. specifically built from the ground up for music and events.
More than 100 small and independent craft breweries from across the nation are expected to participate in SAVOR. The beers will be matched to a one-of-a-kind pairing menu crafted by Brewers Association executive chef, and author of The Beer Pantry, Adam Dulye, in collaboration with a host of noted chefs, Cicerones® and purveyors.
“We are continually evolving SAVOR to keep it fresh and exciting,” said Ann Obenchain, marketing director, Brewers Association. “The Anthem is a state-of-the-art facility that allows us to stretch our imagination and provide new experiences to delight our guests.”
SAVOR 2020 is in the early planning stages, with many more details to be announced. Brewery registration opens December 13, 2019.
