From Hank Hudson Brewing:
HALFMOON, NY – Hank Hudson Brewing Company has collaborated with local brewery Wolf Hollow Brewing Company to create the Hollow Hank, a Cream Ale that the teams designed together and brewed in their respective fermenters. The beer is brewed with an abundance of pilsner malt and six-row barley. In celebration of this locally-achieved brew collaboration, the breweries are hosting release events at their breweries during the week leading up to Father’s Day to mark the occasion.
On Tuesday, June 11 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Hank Hudson will kick off the festivities. Staff and brewers from both breweries will work the event which will feature live music by Mark Pierre and Scott Chamberlin. In addition to the live music, there will be specials and giveaways for those who attend this family-friendly event, as well as cornhole boards and food specials.
“We have always been inspired by our friends over at Wolf Hollow. Without their support, we may have never pursued the dream of opening Hank Hudson,” said Darren Van Heusen, co-founder, Hank Hudson Brewing Company. “We really wanted to celebrate this collaboration in a big way, and this event does just that, it combines all of our favorite things into one great event- beer, food and hanging out with great company.”
“Working on the beer together was a fun project for us and seemed really natural given all the things we have learned and experienced together as we started breweries over the last three to five years,” says Pete Bednarek, co-owner, Wolf Hollow Brewing Company. “The cream ale will be refreshing for the summertime and the perfect complement to a round of golf or a backyard picnic. Our tagline is, ‘this is not your father’s cream ale.’”
Wolf Hollow will also be hosting a similar event on Thursday, June 13 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. to celebrate the collaboration. Their brew is aptly named Hank Hollow Cream Ale and will be available on Wolf Hollow taps starting this week. Both breweries will feature Father’s Day specials all week long on the beer in both taprooms.
