INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - Books & Brews is excited to announce the acquisition of Flat12 Bierwerks. Books & Brews will continue to run Flat12 under the same brand name and will use Flat12’s upcoming 8th Anniversary Party this Saturday, January 26th, as a launch event complete with door prizes, coupons for various Books & Brews locations, and the addition of the new Oil Can Club.
Flat12 has been a brewery partner for Books & Brews for the past two years, brewing all of B&B’s flagship and seasonal beers. “I have the upmost respective for the crew at Flat12,” said Jason Wuerfel, Books & Brews Founder and CEO. “When we were looking to expand our concept they jumped on board to partner with us without hesitation. To be able to join forces with them and have a staff and facility of their caliber in the Books & Brews family is a dream come true. I’m extremely excited for the future.”
The all new Oil Can Club will debut at the Anniversary Party. The club will work similar to Books & Brews’ popular Mug Club with a few unique twists. The Club is a lifetime membership that will normally be priced at $100, but pre-sales on Saturday will cost just $50. The Club will include the following:
—20oz Ceramic Oil Can Mug with collectible graphics handmade by a local potter
—Members can purchase additional collectible mugs for $35/each
— Oil Can fills for the price of 16oz pours*
— $2 off growler fills*
— $1 off bullet fills*
— 10% off merchandise and glassware
— Discounted and advanced admission to events
— Priority access to special release bombers
— Additional deals TBD

Oil Can Mugs will be available to pick up on March 1st, but the perks will be available to use immediately with the exclusion of the Oil Can fills. Members who sign up through the end of February will receive a $20 coupon toward the Books & Brews Lifetime Mug Club Membership (participating locations).
Other door prizes will be added to the Anniversary Party and all attendees will go home with a Books & Brews Passport complete with coupons to all participating locations. Flat12’s Anniversary Party is a 21+ only event that will run from 12pm - 10pm on Saturday, January 26th. Admission is free but a $25 Glassware and Sampling Package is available that includes a German-imported Rastal Lüttich Balloon Glass Goblet and 3oz samples of all beers on tap (while supplies last).
The Flat12 purchase will also have a huge impact on the Books & Brews brand as Books & Brews and Flat12 beers will now be available for growler fills at participating locations. Most Books & Brews locations will be able to fill growlers immediately while others will start filling growlers likely in the next few weeks. Please call ahead for availability.
In order to celebrate the milestone achievement, Books & Brews is launching a new “$5 for February” promotion where growler fills of all Books & Brews and Flat12 brands will be available for $5 growler fills on Saturdays starting this Saturday, January 26th, and continuing throughout February at participating locations. Note that Mug Club discounts will not apply to this promotion. Be on the lookout for more discounts and specials at your local Books & Brews as we commemorate this historic occasion.
