21st Amendment Announces New Sparkale Going Year Round

21st Amendment Announces New Sparkale Going Year Round
We brought you an early peek, and now this from 21st Amendment:

Brewed with Apple, Peach, Cranberry, and Cherry juices, Sparkale is unlike any other beer you’ve tasted from 21stAmendment Brewery.

SAN LEANDRO, CA . (January 22, 2019) — The brewers at 21st Amendment Brewery are crackling with anticipation for the launch of a very different hybrid beer from their brewhouse. Sparkale is a sparkling rosé ale with apples, peach, cranberry & cherry, for a light, fruity, tart flavor and a huge “sparkle factor”.
“We’ve learned a lot about using fruit in our brews—from ‘Hell or High Watermelon,’ to ‘Blood Orange Brew Free! or Die IPA,’ and we love the refreshing quality that fruit can bring to new styles of beer. Sparkale is our latest adventure, and we’re so excited to offer a completely different type of beer that will quench your thirst and delight your taste buds any time of year,” says Nico Freccia, Co-Founder.
Coming in at a reasonable 5.5% alcohol with no bitterness, Sparkale is a bit of a departure from 21st Amendment’s stable of bold, West Coast-style IPAs. It is also lower in calories than 21A’s regular beers and gluten-reduced for a flavor that’s as much like a cider (without actually being one) as you can find.

“The one fruit juice we really wanted to include was cherries. Not only does it add to the unique color and flavor of the beer, but it’s also a nod to the history of San Leandro, the home of our brewery, where cherry orchards once thrived,” says Co-Founder and Brewmaster, Shaun O’Sullivan.
The label featuring a hand holding a sparkler at sunset, evokes the beer’s light pink color and bright pop of flavor. “The sparkler is such an American icon, and the perfect symbol for celebrating any occasion,” adds Dave Wilson, President and Partner.

Sparkale is set for a February market release and can be found in all states where 21st Amendment beer is sold.

About 21st Amendment
In 2000, Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan opened the doors to the 21st Amendment brewpub in San Francisco’s historic South Park neighborhood with Freccia managing the restaurant and O’Sullivan spearheading the brewing process. In addition to quickly becoming one of the city’s favorite pubs, 21st Amendment began expanding beyond the Bay Area by helping to pioneer the movement to canned craft beer. In 2015, they opened a Brewery & Tap Room in San Leandro where most of their beers are made and canned. Known for artistic packaging, witty names and delicious brews, 21st Amendment offers year-round selections, seasonal offerings and its Insurrection Series of small-batch, limited releases. Sold in 25 states, 21st Amendment is among the top 50 craft beer breweries in America.
