Rogue Announces Three New IPAs Coming In 2019

Rogue Announces Three New IPAs Coming In 2019From Rogue:

Coming in the new year, we're releasing three IPAs and we're giving you an exclusive first look at each of them.

We've taken our time finding the right way to craft a new West Coast IPA and we're proud of our first canned Hazy IPA. And for our hopheads, we're bringing back a fresh batch of our notorious West Coast IPA: Straight Outta Newport.

Here's an exclusive glimpse at the IPAs just for our loyal Rogue Nation Citizens.

Outta Line IPA, a West Coast IPA from Rogue Ales & Spirits, will be available in 12oz cans as well as 12oz bottles.

THE ROGUE

Outta Line IPA, our latest year-round IPA, is a bright honey-colored West Coast IPA with an enticing fruit aroma. We carefully brewed this IPA for our fellow Rogues -- those of us who believe in doing things our own way and standing out in the crowd. This new IPA will be brewed all year long.

OUTTA LINE IPA

Batsquatch, a Hazy IPA from Rogue Ales & Spirits, launches in 2019 and will be available nationally in March.

THE LEGEND

Do you believe the stories of the Batsquatch? We've canned the legend. This juicy, cloudy IPA with intense tropical notes will be available in Oregon and Washington come January. We'll let it loose on the rest of the country in March then it'll be available all year long.

THE HOPHEAD

When we introduced Straight Outta Newport last year, it was the first time we'd ever crafted a hop-forward West Coast IPA. As one of the furthest west West Coast breweries, we felt it was time to deliver the heavyweight of the style.

The beer will return in a limited run this January. Find it before it's gone.

STRAIGHT OUTTA NEWPORT

Newport, OR -  (December 21, 2018)—Rogue Ales & Spirits is starting 2019 strong with two new year-round IPAs: Outta Line, a bright, honey-colored West Coast-style IPA and Batsquatch, a juicy, hazy IPA with intense tropical aromas and flavors.

OUTTA LINE

Outta Line is a quintessential West Coast-style IPA that opens with tangerine and mango, balanced by malt sweetness and a crisp hop bite. “It’s a great West Coast-style IPA, brewed for those who ‘live outside the lines,’” says Rogue Vice President of Marketing Bliss Dake. “It’s our way of celebrating those who have the courage to do their own thing.”

BATSQUATCH

Batsquatch is a Hazy IPA dedicated to the half-bat half-sasquatch creature that, according to legend, resides in the woods on Mount St. Helens. The first hazy IPA in Rogue’s year-round lineup, Batsquatch features bold tropical aromas, flavors of stonefruit and tangerine, and a fruity citrus rind finish. “We’ve been brewing hazy IPAs for a few years now, perfecting them along the way,” says Rogue President Dharma Tamm. “After several rounds of refining, we’re ready to unleash this beast on the beer-drinking world. Get ready.”

“In the beginning, 30 years ago, we were told that nobody would ever drink Rogue beers because they were too hoppy,” says Rogue Brewmaster John Maier. “People started calling me ‘More Hops’ because of my love of hop-forward beers and I still wear it like a badge of honor.” Batsquatch and Outta Line aren’t palate destroyingly bitter, but they are intentionally brewed with strong hop character. “These beers are the epitome of their respective styles,” says Maier. “We hope people will enjoy and have as much fun with them as we do.”

Citizens,

By the authority vested in me as the President of the Rogue Nation, I hereby order that Outta Line IPA will be adopted as the official beer of the Rogue Nation. I have personally decreed that all seven of our Meeting Halls and two Tasting Rooms will make it available -- on tap as well as in bottles and cans.

After months of closed-door meetings with my most trusted advisors, I have determined that Outta Line IPA is a more fitting beer to represent the Nation. As a West Coast IPA, it's tied to our roots as one of the furthest west West Coast breweries. Not to mention that above all, the Rogue Nation values those who go Rogue and do things their own way. So we've chosen this beer, brewed in dedication of Going Rogue.

To toast the new beer of the Nation, we sent a few of our bravest Rogues to fly off a bridge. Click the image below to see them complete their mission.

Rogues bungee jump in their finest penguin suits and raise an Outta Line IPA to going Rogue.

Fear not! While Brutal IPA is stepping down as the official brew, it'll still be available in limited batches at Rogue Public Houses.

An official announcement will be made at an event held at Rogue Meeting Halls on January 16, 2019. Tune in to watch the announcement live at 5:30pm Pacific Time on our Facebook page.
