WALKABLOWOUT: FAREWELL TO WALKABOUT PALE ALE

The Flat12 team has a bittersweet announcement regarding one of our flagship beers, Walkabout, our single hopped pale ale made with Galaxy hops from Australia. We’ve enjoyed sharing our beloved pale ale with our customers for the past 8 years, but due to a rapidly shrinking supply of the Galaxy hop, it will not be possible to continue production, therefore Walkabout will retire as of January 1, 2019.
To commemorate the end of the Walkabout run, we are hosting a celebration in the taproom featuring the last batch ever of Walkabout plus 3 specialty variations. Don't forget to stock up on growlers and six packs while you're here!

Imperial Walkabout
Bourbon Barrel Aged Walkabout
Sour Walkabout
Walkabout will be replaced by our new Idle IPA, a light session IPA with a similar IBU and pleasing, citrusy profile brewed with 4 hop varieties; Magnum, Cascade, and Centennial, then dry hopped with Amarillo and Cascade. Malty sweetness with a bright hop finish create an easy-drinking IPA that's balanced and refreshing. We’ve been perfecting this IPA over the last year and feel this new beer will be an excellent replacement. Idle IPA is currently on tap at the brewery now. Look for it to hit taps and shelves around Indy early 2019.
Walkabout and the special variations will be on tap while supplies last. Please join us and raise a pint as we send off this beloved brew and try out the new Idle IPA while you're here. We think you'll love it.
