Here’s a nice surprise coming this morning from our very own Troegs Independent Brewing in Hershey, PA. This is Lollihop and it will be a double IPA that is dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic & Azacca hops from the Yakima Valley as well as PA-grown rustic pale malt. This Art Of Troegs beer will hit 8.2%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can.
This 12 Mar 2019 update from Troegs:
We Taste: pear, citrus, hint of melon
ABV: 8.2%
Availability: 16-ounce cans & draft
Sneak Peek: LolliHop
We've got a brand new Once a Year beer making its debut in 16-ounce cans on Monday, March 18, and boy is it a good one! LolliHop worked its way through our Scratch Series in the footsteps of Nimble Giant, and we're excited to share this one with you. The otherworldly label art was dreamed up by Art of Tröegs alumni Devin Watson, who was a runner-up in last year's contest.
The inspiration for the beer takes us to the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest. When we make our annual pilgrimage to the hop-growing hotbed of Yakima Valley, we're like kids in a candy store. We eyeball the hops on the bines, crush them in our hands and rub them til their oils fill the air. LolliHop brings together three of our favorites. Dry-hopping with Citra and Mosaic layers in notes of orange, grapefruit and melon, while Azacca in the kettle adds hints of papaya and pineapple. Locally harvested rustic pale malt from Double Eagle provides the backbone, and wheat and oats make this beer silky smooth with a touch of haze.
