Troegs Boysenberry Tart Ale Coming To Tart & Fruit Series Cans
Here’s another exciting new beer (and series) coming to cans from our pals at Troegs Independent Brewing in Hershey, PA.  This is Boysenberry Tart Ale and it is an ale brewed with boysenberries, sea salt and coriander.  This beer is part of the Tart & Fruit Series and it will hit 4.5%-AbV.  This “violet red-colored” ale will be packaged in 12oz cans (12oz bottles below) and stay tuned here for release info.  I’ve also added in the keg label for Raspberry Tart Ale brewed with raspberry, sea salt and coriander (4.5%-AbV), Field Study IPA dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic & El Dorado hops (6.2%-AbV) & Blood Orange Cranberry Tart Ale brewed with blood orange, cranberry, sea salt and coriander (4.5%-AbV).  For 2019, they will be adding the "Brewed With Real Fruit" logo (see Boysenberry Tart Ale below).
This 26 Feb 2019 update from Troegs:
Our brand new Tart & Fruit Series is the perfect place to showcase boysenberries, a strange and wonderful hybrid of blackberries and raspberries. The jammy juiciness of 12 pounds per barrel of real boysenberries is balanced with a bit of pucker thanks to a first-stage fermentation with lactobacillus. A second fermentation with our house yeast releases waves of fruit. Coriander gives off hints of wildflowers, and a pinch of salt amplifies the refreshing sweet-tart berry goodness. Look for 6-packs of 12-ounce cans starting today, and additional varieties coming later this year. #TartAndFruit
