From Reuben’s Brews:
Seattle brewery wins in the United States Beer Tasting Championship 2018 Summer Competition, pushing total medals won since its founding in 2012 to over 200
Seattle, WA - 22 August 2018 - Just days after celebrating its sixth anniversary, Reuben's Brews reached another milestone: 200 medals won for its beers. Recent honors in the United States Beer Tasting Championship (USBTC), where the brewery won National Grand Champion for Hop Tropic for the second year in a row, pushed the brewery’s medal count over this landmark number.
"The last six years have flown by! It's hard to believe that our beers have won this many awards, from competitions at the regional, national and international level, in such a short time," said Adam Robbings, co-founder and brewmaster for Reuben's Brews. "We are always brewing new styles and approaches to our beers and to see such a wide variety of them be considered best in class makes us feel great about what we are doing."
In the most recent USBTC Competition, Reuben's Brews took home Best of the Northwest in the Pacific Region for Reuben’s Crush IPA, Lilywhite Wit, and Hop Tropic. Hop Tropic went on to be named the National Grand Champion in the Pale Ale category, an honor it has received for two consecutive years. Good Hair Day, a 25th anniversary brew created for Rudy's Barbershop, received an Honorable Mention in the competition.
Over the years, some of the most highly decorated beers in Reuben's portfolio are its most popular, year-round beers such as Crikey IPA, Pilsner, Gose and Robust Porter. These beers have taken home multiple honors over the years, in prestigious competitions including the Great American Beer Festival, European Beer Star, U.S. Open Beer Championships, Washington Beer Awards and many others.
"We know that brewing great beers isn’t about the awards, but it certainly reinforces that our team is creating the kind of brews the craft beer community is seeking and enjoying," continued Adam.
