From Elysian:
Elysian Brewing Company commissioned a series of murals which will be unveiled on July 20 as part of a national artist program called Mischief Makers. The brewery tapped five locally beloved artists from five cities across the U.S. – Austin, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and the brewery’s local Seattle – and tasked them with making mischief in each of their hometowns in the form of a mural. Each mural seeks to reinterprets the unique bottle labels of the brewery’s two flagship beers, Space Dust IPA and Dayglow IPA, while tapping into each artist’s unique style and creative vision.
Creating mischief and inciting curiosity is at the root of Elysian’s founding and remain ingrained in the company’s culture and its beers. With this proclivity for mischief – whether its leaving the pronunciation of their name (El-ly-zian or El-lee-tion?) and their mischievous label designs up to interpretation – Elysian is passing the baton and asking these artists to inspire creative thinking in each city by creating artwork that gives viewers something to think twice about.
