From Center Of The Universe:
Ashland, VA Tuesday, May 29, 2018: The 2018 batch of Homefront IPA is set to be released on Saturday, June 2nd. Each year, Center of the Universe Brewing Company joins a number of other breweries across the country to brew an annual beer that gives back to our military.
The effort is called the Hops for Heroes project and was developed in 2011 by Fremont Brewing Company and Center of the Universe Brewing Company as a way to give back to the men and women in our armed forces. Each year, a number of breweries join the founding breweries to brew Homefront IPA, with 100% of the proceeds going to Soldiers’ Angels.
This year’s participating breweries include Center of the Universe Brewing Company, Fremont Brewing Company, and 21st Amendment.
“Homefront IPA is our way of saying "thank you" to all of the men and women who dedicate themselves to protecting our safety and our way of life. By releasing this beer so close to Memorial Day, we hope to give a reminder to everyone of how important the past, present, and future members of our armed forces are and to remember the ultimate sacrifices so many have made in their pursuit of our freedom. We want them all to know that the greater Richmond area cares and supports their never ending work.” – Chris Ray, Co-founder of Center of the Universe Brewing Company and Hops for Heroes
