From Ommegang:
The first beer in our Game of Thrones-inspired Royal Reserve Collection, Hand of the Queen, is shipping to distributors beginning this week and will be available nationwide by the beginning of April. Due to shipping times, some locations received their beer sooner than others. If you are in the Cooperstown area, mark your calendars! You’ll be able to purchase Hand of the Queen at the brewery store beginning at noon on Saturday, March 17.
It is illegal for us to sell online or directly to customers who are not at the brewery, so we cannot take any online orders. We sell the beer from the brewery to distributors who then sell to retailers (bars, grocery stores and other locations). There are a few websites that are allowed to sell beer directly to fans and we will post those them here as they come in.
Ommegang is currently not distributed in Mississippi, Montana and Wyoming so unfortunately Hand of the Queen will not be for sale in these states. Distributors in the following states have ordered this release: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, plus Washington, D.C., and the U.S.V.I. Outside of the United States, these beers may only be available in Ontario and Alberta, Canada. There is not currently a release date set for Canada. We’re working with our distributor there and we’ll update this post when/if we have one.
We have a beer finder that will show the locations that the beer has been sold to. The beer finder works by aggregating sales data from the distributor and it is uploaded often a few days after the sale into the account. With the great demand it might even be sold out by the time it is listed on our beer finder, so we strongly encourage you to call your local retailers to ask about availability before you drive around to find it. When you do find Hand of the Queen, you can tag a photo of the beer with #GoTxOmmegang on social media to let friends know where you found it.
We can’t wait to hear that you think about our latest Game of Thrones-inspired release. Cheers!
