Birdsong Brewing & Charlotte Knights Baseball Team Up

Birdsong Brewing & Charlotte Knights Baseball Team UpFrom Birdsong:

All Knight Long, Paradise City Session IPA, Higher Ground IPA will be at Charlotte Knights games

With home opening day just around the corner, the delicious, punny fun continues this spring for Birdsong Brewing and the Charlotte Knights minor league baseball team.

Birdsong’s All Knight Long is now available in the Birdsong taproom and will be inside Knights Stadium for home opening day on April 12.

The deepening partnership between Birdsong and the Knights in 2017 was a great success, says Chris Goulet, Birdsong principal owner. The brewery sold more than 60 kegs of All Knight Long inside the park last year.

“Our beer sales were up more than 100 percent in the park,” Goulet says. “And our staff had a blast at the team outing we had at the ballpark.”

This season, baseball fans will have increased chances to spot (and drink) Birdsong at home games.

All Knight Long, a punny tip of the cap to Lionel Ritchie’s 1980s classic song and the hometown team, will be available on three taps (up from two) inside the park. The Belgian blonde ale has a 4.5 percent ABV (alcohol by volume), a nice golden color, dry finish and a slight sweetness. “You can drink it all night long,” Goulet says.

Paradise City Session IPA, the brewery’s medium body, crisp IPA with a 4.8 percent ABV, will be available in cans and on tap. Higher Ground IPA, Birdsong’s wildly popular West Coast-style IPA, will also be available on tap inside the park for the first time.

And Birdsong’s Jalapeño Pale Ale cans, long a top seller inside the park, will still be available from vendors.

All Knight Long will be available on tap in the Birdsong taproom at 1016 N. Davidson St. and at the BB&T Ballpark at 324 S. Mint St. through the end of the Knights’ season in August.

About Birdsong Brewing
Founded in 2011 from humble roots, Birdsong Brewing Co. has grown to become the Charlotte destination for culinary-inspired, super-fresh, unfiltered, American-style ale. Using locally-sourced ingredients and fully embracing musical (and sometimes whimsical) inspiration, Birdsong celebrates creativity with a new, weekly small batch release in the taproom every “Thursty Thursday.” Beloved by locals and sought-after by fans across the Carolinas, the third oldest and third largest brewery in the Queen City moved in 2015 to a 17,000-sq-ft building in Charlotte’s Belmont neighborhood. The 30-barrel brewhouse and taproom embodies the #CanDoWillDo philosophy behind what Birdsong brews, thinks and believes. For more information, visit birdsongbrewing.com.
