From Two Roads:
SHOP is an Exclusive Passenger in the Beer Bus Can Variety Pack
Two Roads Brewing Company is excited to announce a new Beer Bus variety 12 pack format—each bus will have three year round beers plus a unique SHOP (specialty hop) pale ale made with a rotating featured hop.
The SHOP series is the first Two Roads pale ale (ABV 5.5%) to be released in the market and will let beer drinkers experience and enjoy interesting, new or exciting hops that will be rotated every 1-2 months.
"The SHOP series evolved in our small batch pilot brewery in 2015," said Director of Brewing Operations John Rehm. "Some very exciting, new flavors and aromas are being developed in hop fields throughout the world and we wanted to get them into our beers. The SHOP series lets us showcase the diversity of hops as well as our culture of innovation at Two Roads."
"There is no doubt that certain hop varieties contribute very different characteristics. Some hops are decidedly 'fruity,' some are 'herbaceous,' while others are 'earthy,' 'steely' or 'woody,'" added Two Roads Master Brewer Phil Markowski. "Just like wine grape varietals, certain hops work quite well on their own while others benefit from blending with other hop varietals. It is this sort of synergy that we will be featuring in our new canned SHOP series."
The new format Beer Bus Variety Pack will be available starting in mid-January and the first SHOP Pale Ale will feature Comet and Galaxy hops. In addition, the variety pack will feature a 12oz. can version of Road 2 Ruin Double IPA for the first time ever. Two other Two Roads beers—No Limits Hefeweizen and Worker’s Comp Farmhouse Ale—will fill in the other seats on the Beer Bus.
