From Port City Brewing:
Port City announces its release calendar for 2018; highlights include new beers, expanded production of Integral® IPA, and the continuation of the popular rotating lager series.
“Our team is excited to continue growing and innovating in 2018,” says founder Bill Butcher. “From our solid block of year-round core items to our lager series and limited releases, we’re proud to share every beer in our roster.”To celebrate its seventh anniversary, the brewery will release COLOSSAL® 7, a copper-hued Scotch Ale with a rich, pervasive malti-ness that evokes raisin bread and chewy caramels. The limited-edition beer will be available on draft and in bottles, debuting at the release party on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018.
Port City will also release a new Ideal Tripel to debut in early May. Available in bottles and on draft, the strong blonde Belgian ale’s deceptively dry body provides a perfect playground for yeast-driven complexity.
The brewery will continue its draft-only Rotating Lager Series, beginning with Doppelbock in early January. Over the course of the year, the brewery will release eight different lagers, including many favorites that appeared in 2017.
Based on the overwhelmingly positive response to its initial release, Integral® IPA will be made available year-round. Starting in January, customers will be able to enjoy the aromatic American IPA, which debuted in July 2017, in bottles and on draft throughout the year.
The refreshing, peppery Ways & Means® Session Rye IPA will become a Tasting Room exclusive. Guests will be able to enjoy the hoppy, 4.5% ABV ale in-house, as well as to go in growlers and Crowlers, at all times in the Tasting Room.
