From Lakewood Brewing:
Dallas, TX : Lakewood Brewing Company (LBC) invites the community to gather family & friends and head to the Taproom & Beer Garden on Friday, December 8th and Saturday, December 9th to celebrate the release of their highly-anticipated 2017 Bourbon Barrel Temptress (BBT).
“The 2017 vintage of BBT is clocking in at 12.4% ABV, with notes of toasted butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel from the ultra-fresh barrels we received. Lucky for us, we didn’t have to travel far. This year’s batch was aged in barrels from Witherspoon Distillery, right up the road in Lewisville, and we have to say it’s one of our favorites,” said Wim Bens, Founder & President of LBC.
On the evening of Friday, December 8th, a VIP party will be held from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. and limited to just 200 tickets. With the $40 ticket purchase, guests will enjoy three 10oz pours, a commemorative BBT tumbler, a BBT bottle opener crafted from this year's barrel staves, sticker, and access to rare taps with minimal lines. The Steve Waller Quartet will be performing their signature jazz hits, and Pit Commander Barbecue and Texapolitan Pizza will be on-site cooking up their signature pizza pies. Limited VIP party tickets go on sale Friday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m.at bit.ly/bbtvip2017.
Saturday, December 9th is free entry all day, from Noon to 9:00 p.m. No ticket is required to attend; however, sampling cards for three 10oz pours will be available for $15. Attendees can enjoy live music out in the beer garden from Marisela TheVoice and Recover, as well as barbecue and pizza from Pit Commander, games, and more.
On both days, they’ll also feature a raffle to win a used BBT barrel signed by the brewery and benefiting RETREET, an organization that provides disaster relief to stricken communities by leading volunteers in replanting lost trees. Raffle tickets cost $1 each.
