We brought you the full GABF 2017 results, and now this from Reuben’s Brews in Seattle, WA:
SEATTLE, WA . (Oct. 11, 2017) Reuben’s Brews headed back to Seattle earlier this week with a gold medal from the 2017 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. The brewery’s Triumvirate IPA took a gold medal in the International-Style Pale Ale category at the awards ceremony in Denver on October 7.
Adam Robbings, co-founder and head brewer for Reuben’s Brews, said, “Winning a medal like this at such a highly competitive event gives us encouragement that we are creating beers that stand out from the crowd. With so many amazing beers in this year’s festival, we are incredibly honored to be among those who took home gold.”
Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is considered the premier commercial beer festival and competition in the United States. Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served in a public tasting event plus a private competition.
“Each year the Great American Beer Festival showcases the best that American brewers have to offer,” said Chris Swersey, competition manager, Great American Beer Festival. “With a record 8,000 + entries, this year’s competition was the most competitive to date. Congratulations to all the winners who truly demonstrated why the U.S. is the world’s best and most diverse brewing nation.”
Triumvirate IPA was originally brewed to be the house beer for Seattle’s Brouwer’s Café, Bottleworks, and The Burgundian. Since its debut in 2015, Triumvirate has been honored at the World Beer Cup, U.S. Beer Tasting Championships, and the Washington Beer Awards.
Since Reuben’s Brews first opened in 2012, the brewery has been awarded more than 160 medals in local, national and international beer competitions, including more than 30 medals in 2017 alone. This is the third GABF gold medal Reuben’s Brews has won in as many years.
