ABOUT FLORIDA REBUILDS
Florida Rebuilds is a project started by Funky Buddha Brewery to bring relief and awareness to Florida Keys-based families in the service industry in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The beer Florida Rebuilds is a pale blonde ale brewed with key lime juice. Funky Buddha will donate 100% of gross sales of this beer in both our tap room and through distribution to Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE), a zero-administrative cost 501c3 organization that provides funding to families that have been impacted by life changing events, including natural disaster. With the funds raised from Florida Rebuilds, CORE and Funky Buddha hope to positively impact the lives of those service industry workers residing in the most affected areas of the Florida Keys.
Funky Buddha also hopes to bring awareness to CORE programs so that affected families can apply for support, and so beer retailers themselves can choose to pledge to donate proceeds to CORE.
Together we can make a strong impact on this vital relief effort and raise some fantastic awareness in the process. Here’s to rebuilding Florida, one pint at a time. Cheers.
ABOUT THE BEER
Florida Rebuilds is a crisp, blonde ale with key lime juice added as an ode to the resilient spirit of the keys. At 5% ABV and brewed with tropical-tinged citra hops, this sessionable ale is also evocative of the land we all know and love.
Funky Buddha will tap Florida Rebuilds starting on October 13th in its Oakland Park tap room. 100% of all sales on site will go towards CORE.
Brown Distributing of West Palm Beach will distribute Florida Rebuilds in draft slim kegs starting on October 16th. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing the beer in South Florida, the Treasure Coast, Southwest Florida, Tampa, and Monroe County.
ABOUT CORE
CORE is a national 501c3 organization that grants support to children of food and beverage service employees navigating life-altering circumstances. Since 2004, CORE has raised over $2.5M and granted support to almost 300 families across the industry and the country. For food and beverage service employees, a life-altering circumstance like a medical diagnosis, a car accident, or a house fire can quickly become unmanageable financially and emotionally. Luckily, for those employees caring for children, CORE can help.
