Exciting news from Barrels & Bottles Brewery in Golden, CO:
GOLDEN, CO — Earlier this summer Barrels & Bottles Brewery hired Greg Moore to direct brewing operations at its 3 BBL brewhouse in downtown Golden. Moore comes to the brewpub with several years of brewing experience at Colorado breweries.
Moore’s first brewing gig was at Rock Bottom Brewery in Downtown Denver in 2009. He would go on to become head brewer at Wynkoop Brewing, Denver’s first brewpub, and then a production brewer at Sleeping Giant Brewing Company, Denver’s first dedicated production brewery with a 50 BBL brewhouse.
Moore continues to brew Barrels & Bottles’ flagships Orange Creamsicle Blonde Al, Space Oddity Pale Ale, The Beer Formerly Known As Amber Ale, Bang Your Head Red IPA, Colorado BAE IPA, and Obsess Much? Imperial Peanut Butter & Chocolate Stout, as well as the sought-after seasonals Big LeBEERski Imperial Milk Golden Milk Stout and FROmageddon American Style Barleywine. He’s also brewing new styles including a Kölsch and a Double IPA, expanding the company’s barrel-aging program, and delving into kettle sours.
With Moore's hiring also comes updates to the brewpub, including more taps for beer, digital menus, and additional fermentation tanks.
“Going into our fifth year of business with Greg, we are stoked about where he is taking us. We have 100 percent confidence in Greg and look forward to his beers,” say Barrels & Bottles owners Zach and Abby George.
