From Ballast Point:
The wait is finally over. After a ridiculously fun and festive "Sours of the Wench" Day at our locations, we're happy to announce that 6-packs of Sour Wench are now available in stores around San Diego. We'll be shipping nationwide soon, so stay tuned.
Our Sour Wench Blackberry Ale (7.0% ABV) is a fruity Berliner Weisse-style beer bursting with Oregon blackberry flavor and aroma. The fruit addition adds a beautiful violet hue, and the taste has an approachable soft tartness from kettle souring.
Suggested food pairings include goat cheese and salad with blackberry vinaigrette, so it's perfect for summer picnics or weekend brunch.
Pick up a 6-pack on your way home today and start the weekend with some Sour Wench!
CELEBRATING HOME BREW MART'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A "FAMILY REUNION" COLLABORATION SERIES
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Home Brew Mart—the birthplace of Ballast Point, Sculpin IPA and other GABF and international award-winning beers. In addition, it's the place many head brewers and brewery owners got their start learning the craft, making it one of the most influential hubs for craft beer. Today, we still own and operate Home Brew Mart in its original location, offering home brewing supplies, workshops, and tips from well-respected brewers.
We want to mark this anniversary by raising our glass to these brewers who got their start at our Home Brew Mart – and inviting them to join us in developing a series of “Family Reunion” collaboration beers that will be on tap at select locations. Some are even on tap right now. We're also planning a special event at Home Brew Mart in September, so stay tuned for a "Save the Date".
We’re brewing with our friends from the following breweries:
- Amplified Ale Works
- Nickel Brewing
- Fieldwork Brewing
- Eppig Brewing
- 32 North Brewing
- Fall Brewing
- Ironfire Brewing
- 3 homebrew competition finalists
